Cancellations and missed appointments:

  • We observe a strict 48-hour cancelation policy. Appointment times are reserved for you – missed appointments without the appropriate notice will be billed as a full session charge.

Treatment guidelines:

  • For your MFR sessions, please wear comfortable underwear and a bra for women or loose shorts/trunks for men. MFR must occur directly on the skin — your safety and comfort are always respected.

  • Please arrive at your scheduled time to ensure the full length of your appointment.  If you are going to be more than 15 minutes late, please call to see if rescheduling is necessary.  If you arrive late, your session will begin when you arrive and end at the originally scheduled time.

  • Please refrain from using lotion on the day of your appointment to ensure optimal skin contact.  This includes sunscreen and facial moisturizer.

  • Hydrated tissue ensures optimal results from your bodywork – please arrive hydrated!  Be sure to drink plenty of water after the session to help rehydrate the released fascia, for more effective results.

  • Your MFR experience is as important to me as it is to you. Remember that we are partners in your session.   I welcome feedback during and after the session – please let me know if there is anything I can do to make your experience more effective.

  • Payment may be made by cash or check ONLY.

60 Minute Virtual Myofascial Release Session (Zoom)

This is a fully customized experience that addresses your physical well-being along with emotional health depending on your needs.

We will conduct an assessment via video conferencing to address your needs in the most effective way.

  1. Assessment of your postural imbalances and challenges. What is working? What is not working?

  2. Self-treatment guidance leads to releasing tension and restrictions in the connective tissue (fascia) and eliminating pain.

  3. Soothing, relaxing atmosphere for you to get the maximum benefit and ease any emotional distress.

  4. Instruction to make the techniques work best for you.

  5. Guidance to create an ongoing daily practice to heal your chronic pain and discomfort along with exercise and therapy suggestions if applicable.

  6. Monika will also your questions and concerns and provide guidance for continuing daily self-treatment.

Are you a new mom?  Do you have pelvic pain? We will help!
 

To all Moms, and expecting Moms. (And to all women and men who want to feel great in their body!) Why do we put so much emphasis on pelvic health at Freedom Therapy MFR? The pelvis is the cornerstone of your body. It is the balance point that controls and influences your skeletal system all the way up to your jaw and cranium, and all the way down to your toes. And this crucially important bone structure is embedded and connected via the intricate web of fascia reaching all the way down to the pelvic organs, bladder, uterus, ovaries, prostate… and intestines. Treating fascia in the pelvic area can have a profoundly healing benefit for the internal organs, hormone production, reproductive functions, digestion, elimination… And, indirectly it will affect the rest of your body, including diminishing or eliminating TMJ issues, headaches, and many “unexplained” problems.
 

So importantly, If you are expecting or just recently had a baby, your pelvis went through a tremendous change and a series of profound adjustments. You might have heard those stories about “life after pregnancy…” That bladder that does not hold its contents too well anymore… those abs that just disappeared and never came back again, running not being an option anymore because it all hurts… The list goes on and on. Consider the possibility that none of this has to be true or permanent anymore… The fascial system had to stretch and reshape to a very large extent during your pregnancy. The birthing process, and especially the way it is performed today, involves an extensive amount of forceful intervention and possible trauma to the bone and fascial system in the pelvic area. It often involves the creation of scarring, such as from C-sections, tearing, and epidurals. These scars have to be addressed to prevent many potential problems in the future. The earlier you can be treated and the trauma released from the tissues around your pelvic area, the faster and easier you will return full health and strength in your body. The better your organs and hormonal glands will function. We see it over and over again.
